A space for art, reflection, expression

Mechelen, Belgium: the building once known as Huis De Uyttreckende Taeffel (‘The Extending Table’) served various purposes in past decades and centuries. While the earliest documentation of the house dates back to 1613, the façade was renovated into its current form in the late 19th century. The upper floors remain a private residence to this day. The former shop space on the ground floor now hosts rotating mini-exhibitions and small-scale cultural events.

At any given time, the gallery may show pieces from our private collection and/or works that were looking for a temporary home, by emerging or established artists.

No fixed opening hours. Visits are usually by appointment, but you should feel free to come in if the door is open and there is no private event taking place.

en préparation

Hartje Mechelen.
